Upgrades to our plane

New Vents for the plane

For a while we were roasting in the cockpit. This was because there was no insulation between the firewall and cockpit. We have now insulated the firewall and added new air vents in the cockpit. The airplane is now very pleasent when flying.

The air vents even make a difference on the ground. This is because you still get a breeze from the propeller. We have also painted the control sticks and improved the instrument panel.

We are getting there !! We hope to have the airplane painted very soon.

Flying over Dajeon Dam

A short but fantastic flight

The air was relatively smooth and I was getting itchy feet again. I thought of somewhere I could fly has it was getting near towards the end of the day. I decided to make a trip to Daejeon Dam. It was a relative short flight. We had to do mountain flying as well as flying through some pretty narrow valleys. Enjoy the video.

Our first cross country

After ten hours of flight testing it was time to get out of the practice area. The weather had cooled down a little. It was still twenty eight degrees outside. We went out into the practice area and Eric tried some steep turns and slow flight in the plane.

This was all new to him as he as only flown an airplane with very limited systems, but he did a great job!!! After twenty minutes in the practice area I was starting to get itchy feet and told Eric. Go West !!! Yes it was time to actually go somewhere.

The flight was fantastic. It only took ten minutes to reach Gongju !! This trip usually takes forty minutes by car. Just one comment Awesome !!
